My sweetie's middle name is lament
Apparently it is an untranslatable concept that has to do with a national feeling of oppression, helplessness and unavenged injustice. It is such a part of the Korean identity that it can be found being expressed in every part of Korean life. It can even have physical symptoms that can lead to death! Heavy stuff. Also, it’s a common Korean las name and it was his mother’s maiden name.
